Privacy Policy

Fox Is Happy does not ask you to create an account and does not collect personal information through forms. The calculators, typing tests and other tools run entirely in your browser: the numbers and text you type are never sent to us.

Every interactive tool on this site is a client-side application. When you enter a height and weight into the BMI calculator, or type a passage into a typing test, that data exists only in your browser's memory. It is not transmitted, logged or stored on a server, and it disappears when you close or reload the page.

Where a tool remembers a preference between visits, it does so using your browser's local storage, which is readable only by this site and only on that device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Like almost all websites, the hosting provider that serves these pages keeps standard access logs. These typically include the IP address making the request, the page requested, the time, the referring page and the browser user agent. They are used for security and to diagnose problems, and they are retained only for as long as the hosting provider's standard retention period.

• Image hosting. Fox photography is served from Unsplash's image CDN. Loading those images means your browser makes a request to their servers, which will see your IP address and user agent.
• Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers under the same conditions.
• Hosting. Pages are served by a hosting provider that maintains its own logs as described above.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing what it does with the request data it receives.

This site does not currently display advertising. If advertising is introduced in future, this page will be updated before it appears, including details of the advertising provider, the cookies or identifiers involved, and how to opt out where that option exists.

This site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children. Because no personal information is collected through the site at all, there is nothing held that would relate to a child.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Since this site does not maintain user accounts or a customer database, in most cases there is nothing to retrieve. If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of the page will change with it. Material changes - such as the introduction of advertising or analytics - will be described explicitly rather than folded quietly into the text.
